Usually resigned to conduct their business dealings free from government interference, these individuals are now begging for assistance in the form of bailouts and new regulations. The business man wants a world that is materially predictable, but he can only see into the next fiscal cycle. When we put business men into political office, we get individuals who can only think short-term. As Evola well knew, the merchant class is not the aristocracy—nor should it be.
